Why Grabouw?
Ride the idyllic trails through Oak Valley vineyards, the Apple orchards of Tru-Cape and along the Eikenhoff dam. New additions to the already famous trails, will be unveiled, with challenging but enjoyable features for riders of all skill and ability levels.
Known for an incredible network of singletrack. All Weekend Warriors can expect unbelievable vistas and fully stocked waterholes throughout the weekend.
Weekend Warrior: Grabouw, grown by Tru-Cape is a fund-raising initiative for the Hoërskool Grabouw High School. Monies raised will go towards a new classroom for the Grade 4 learners. Stay tuned for updates on the planned project.
Choose between 10 km, 28 km, and 44 km routes on offer and join the Weekend Warrior series.

Ride some of the best trails in the cape, as well as experience some newly built sections, built specifically for the event.

Relax and refresh after your race in the beer garden located just a stone’s throw from the finish.

E-Bike charging available
Join on an E-Bike and start ahead of the main race. With charging stations available in the Chill Zone, you will have plenty of time to recharge your batteries between stages.

Bronze Route
Day 1
Enjoy some easy farm roads as we make our way through Fruit Ways and the surrounding apple and pear farms. Be ready for the switchback climb about 7kms in, it will make you earn the Ardis Burger on the finish line!

Day 2
Riding along the banks of the Eikenhoff Dam, it’s always a stunning start as the sun rises over the Groenlandberg Mountains. Be cautions down the
Take on a little piece of single track before arriving at the first waterpoint, its then a mostly gravel road / jeep track cruise around Two-A-Day and back to your finish to become a Weekend Warrior!

Silver Route
Day 1
Following the same route as the Gold riders through the fast farm roads of Fruit-Ways and Two-A-Day. A small sneak peek into Oak Valley before making the trek back to the Country Club.
The climb to the top of Shauns Cut will require a little push, but the single track to get there will be oh-so worth it!
Once at the bottom of Shauns’ Cut its a chip and peddle back to your home at the country Club.

Day 2
Riding along the banks of the Eikenhoff dam and into some of the Single track that is on offer around Two-A-Day and Applegarth. The first waterpoint arrives early and splits off from the bronze riders to set the silver riders on their quest into Oak Valley, this time for reel!
It’s a thrilling but challenging day for the silver riders as they ride some iconic sections like Vissies, Sounds of Silence and JKs Edge!
With two water points out on the route, you are going to want to refill at both spots to ensure you are well-stocked on your journey to becoming a #WeekendWarrior!

Gold Route
Day 1
The Gold riders will be the first riders off. The event is unseeded so if you are a racing snake please get to the start chute 15 mins before the start to ensure you get a spot near the front.
Fast gravel roads through Two-A-Day and Fruit Ways with a small trip into Oak Valley. Conquer the washed-out climb to Shauns Cut and get ready for the second half and the harder part of Day 1. Riders will climb up to the very top of the famous A – Z Trail before making their way back home via this world-class network.

Day 2
Making your way out of the Country Club and up the Red Road, take on some similar pieces to Day 1 around the Elgin Valley Trails, but this time heading deep into the heart of Oak Valley!
It’s a thrilling but challenging day for the Gold riders as they ride some iconic sections like Vissies, Sounds of Silence and JKs Edge!
With two water points out on the route, you are going to want to refill at both spots to ensure you are well-stocked on your journey to becoming a #WeekendWarrior!

Registration for the event will take place in the Elgin Grabouw Country Club’s hall – once inside the country club grounds, follow the directional signage for parking and registration.
