Why B’sorah?

Situated near the majestic Magaliesberg Mountains and the historical Hartbeespoort Dam, B’sorah farm is less than an hour away from Johannesburg and Pretoria.

B’sorah is home to a peaceful retreat, nestled within 1600 hectares of pristine wilderness and rugged cattle country, which offers guests plenty to explore by foot or mountain bike. It includes self-catering tented accommodation, Christian-based conference and group camp facilities and scenic trails for hiking and mountain biking. Swim in one of the cleanest natural rivers in South Africa, roam the hills once fought for during the Boer War, or enjoy the sunset from one of the many rocky outcrops.

Riders will get to explore two days of riding, heading through private farm land inside B’sorah as well as making their way into the famous Van Gaalen trails.

Clean Ablutions

As part of the entry. All Weekend Passes will have access to showers and toilets to freshen up in.

A camping spot / your own 3-man tent.

Chill Zone and beer garden

Relax and refresh after your race in the beer garden located just a stone’s throw from the finish.

E-Bike charging available

Join on an E-Bike and start ahead of the main race. With charging stations available in the Chill Zone, you will have plenty of time to recharge your batteries between stages.

Food options

You wont go hungry over the weekend as we have plenty of food options available, on sale, throughout the event.

Van Gaalen, one of South Africa’s pioneering bike parks, offers an impressive network of trails spanning over 110 km. Nestled within the captivating landscapes of the Magaliesberg mountain range, this park showcases a fusion of breathtaking natural spots. With a never ending evolution, the trails continually captivate riders, ensuring a sustained level of interest. Riders are treated to a delightful array of diverse terrains that never fail to surprise them.

From meandering along river single tracks to exhilaratingly blasting through reed bed tunnels, or simply pedaling through expansive grasslands, Van Gaalen delivers an unforgettable biking experience.

Bronze Route

Day 1

Day 1 and right into the thick of it as we tackle the trails around B’sorah. Its all easy flowy trails as we make it as friendly as possible for the kiddies ad those looking for their first taste of stage racing.

Day 2

Day 2 sees riders take on the trails around Van Gaallen. With a small stretch of gravel, before you make it onto the trails, your legs will nice and loose before you tackle some thrilling single track.

Silver Route

Day 1

Day 1 of the Silver Route. It’s fast climbing all the way up to the top of the B’sorah Trails, the Gold riders split off and rejoin later on. Stock up at the waterholes as the Silver route will create lasting memories for all.

Day 2

Heading out of B’sorah farm, we tackle the famous Van Gallen Trails. A saw tooth profile suggests a day of lots of ups and downs a long descent at the end to round off a solid stage 2. 

Start time 8:00 am

Gold Route

Day 1

It’s fast climbing all the way up to the top of B’sorah, you split off from the Silver Route and take on some newly built sections set up by Nick and his team. Ground is made with some fast-flowing tracks through B’sorah farms as riders return to the finish and grab a cold drink while relaxing with their newfound friends.

Day 2

For the first time ever, Weekend Warrior Gauteng will be heading into Van Gallen and linking up private farms that are usually off-limits. The challenge all awaits at the end, two closely placed waterpoints will ensure you can keep going and secure your finishers medal at the end of Stage 2.

Registration for the event will take place by the Red Cherry Events start-finish chute – once inside B’sorah, follow the directional signage for parking and registration.
