Cancellation policy for Weekend Warrior
Should Weekend Warrior be cancelled, for reasons relating to COVID 19.
Riders can expect the following refunds based on how they have paid for their entry.
- Payment via PayFast (95% of the entry fee will be refunded) Payfast takes 5% admin fee per transaction.
- Payment via eft (100% of the entry fee will be refunded)
Riders wanting to cancel for any other reason they will forfeit the following part of their entry fee:
- 75% of the entry fee will be refunded if written notice is received 3 months (90 total Days) before the commencement of the event in question.
- 50% of the entry fee will be refunded if written notice is received 2 months (60 total Days) before the commencement of the event in question.
- 0% will be refunded if written notice is received after 1 month before the commencement of the event in question.
- No refunds available on extras booked.
Q: What does the Entry Fee include?
A: The Weekend Pass includes your own tent 3-man tent in the village, use of all the Red Cherry amenities and your race entry fee for the 2 days. However, you will need to bring your own mattress & bedding. And please note – U14’s will share the tent with their parent.
The Day Rider fee covers your Race entry and access to the race village before and after the race on the day.
Obviously also the most important ingredient … A whole lotta fun!!!
Q: What about Meals?
A: The Event organisers have arranged various food stalls with lots of options including coffee, breakfasts, etc. … You won’t go hungry! The Chill Zone will have a full stocked bar, and evening entertainment. A mini shop with snacks, sweets and refreshments will also be on site.
Q: If I don’t want to participate but be a supporter can I still enter and what is the cost?
A: There is no cost for spectators to come and support. Should you wish to sleep in your partners tent that is totally up to you. We offer tented rates for non-riding partners at R400 per extra tent needed.
Q: Can I ride my MTB with my child on the one day and then do my own thing on the other day?
A: On the Enduro Events which is a fun ride you can and if you want to do this on the MTB event you may but will not be classified as a Finisher.
Q: Can we bring our own Food and drinks?
A: The Grabouw country is doing the catering and no food or drinks will be permitted to be bought onto the premises due to liquor licensing along with health and safety.
Q: How Difficult are the routes?
A: There will be at least 3 different routes on all the events with the shorter routes being designed for the novice and the longer ones for the more serious rider/runner. The routes are classified as Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Q: Do I need to pay the same for my child or is there a different rate?
A : We do offer a different rate for Children under 14 years – please refer to the various event pages as each event has a different cost.
Q: Are all the events ie MTB, TRAIL and ENDURO on same weekend?
Q: What about my kids while I'm riding?
A: We will have a mini kids zone with a jumping castle. Please bring along some toys etc to keep them occupied.
